People in East Sussex are invited to an online public meeting
It’s to hear more about local NHS proposals to improve cardiology and ophthalmology services.
This will be the first public meeting to be held as part of a 14-week public consultation on the proposals which closes on Friday 11 March.
The meeting takes place on: Monday 17 January between 12.30pm and 2.30pm. To book a place, just visit https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/improving-cardiology-ophthalmology-in-east-sussex-tickets-238240633147?aff=ebdsoporgprofile for all the details.
The two separate sets of proposals have been developed over the last year by hospital doctors, GPs and other health professionals, and were informed by feedback from people who use and work in local services.
Both sets of proposals aim to:
- improve the quality of care for all those who need it
- cut waiting times and reduce how long people have to spend in hospital
- reduce the number of times people need to visit for appointments or tests
- support staff to develop their skills and experience
- provide a more efficient use of local health service resources
- enable local people to benefit from new medical and technological advances
Dr David Warden, Clinical Chair of the Governing Body for NHS East Sussex Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), said: “We are keen to hear from as many local people as possible about their views on our proposals, which we believe will improve further the care we provide to our communities, as well as increase support for our doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals to develop and deliver the very best services. We are planning more public meetings in the coming weeks so we will be sharing new dates and other ways to get involved soon.”
People who can’t attend the online public meetings can still give their feedback on the consultations in a number of ways. All the details can be found at www.sussexhealthandcare.uk/get-involved/cardiology-ophthalmology-east-sussex/
