A mental health worker from Eastbourne has been recognised for their achievements at a ceremony.


Fiona Wilson was awarded Health and Public Service Apprentice of the Year at the ceremony held in Brighton at the end of last year.


Fiona currently works in Forensic Healthcare Services at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.



Sussex Police and Crime Commissioner Katy Bourne is encouraging residents to participate in an online survey about policing priorities.


The opportunity to give feedback closes on Sunday 9th January, and is offering locals the chance to have their say on police funding and priorities.

Today is the start of a new support group to help people in Uckfield and the surrounding areas.


Sunflowers Mental Health and Wellbeing are offering the free group that will take place every Thursday beginning today at Ridgewood Village Hall.


The ‘Every Mind Matters’ group will be held to discuss and support local’s mental health.



And finally, the latest summary of COVID cases show that 307 people in Wealden tested positive yesterday, bringing the total to 2,059 in the last seven days.
