Several fixtures took place this weekend

In Saturday’s local football, AFC Uckfield Town played their first competitive fixture for nearly four months, as they took on Little Common in their opening match in the Premier Division Supplementary Shield of the Southern Combination League.

An evenly contested game, which was played behind closed doors at the Oaks, ended in a goal-less draw.

In the Mid Sussex League, there was also a goal-less draw for Ridgewood against Reigate Priory. But, there was a good win for Uckfield United, who beat Burgess Hill Albion Reserves four-nil.

Buxted had a three-one win over Godstone. Newick were three-two winners against Polegate Town Reserves, whilst Nutley lost two-one at Dormansland Rockets.

Fletching drew 1-1 at Cuckfield Rangers Reserves, and Maresfield also shared the spoils in a one-all draw with Eastbourne Athletic.
