In Saturday’s local cricket, Uckfield Anderida moved up to fourth in the table after a comfortable win at bottom club Lewes St Michaels. Uckfield bowled out the hosts for 117, with Neil Boniface the pick of the bowlers, taking four for 20. Uckfield eased to victory with 8 wickets in hand.
Buxted Park kept up their promotion push with a 29-run win at Rottingdean, while there was an important victory for Isfield, who beat fellow strugglers Keymer and Hassocks by 19 runs.

Newick defeated Willingdon by 6 wickets, and Nutley beat Willingdon’s second team by 5 wickets. There was a narrow defeat for Blackboys, who lost by 4 runs against Linden Park’s fourth team, there was a first win of the season for Maresfield, as they beat Tunbridge Wells Borderers by 4 wickets.

Sussex restricted the home side to 130 for seven, before replying with 134 for six to reach their target with 17 balls remaining.
