Weekend Sporting Preview

AFC Uckfield Town return to league action tomorrow with a trip to fifth-placed Bexhill United.

In the Mid Sussex League, Ridgewood are away at Roffey Development, while Uckfield United entertain Scaynes Hill Reserves at New Barn Farm.

Buxted travel to Eastbourne to take on Sovereign Saints.   Fletching host Ardingly.  Maresfield have a home clash with Ringmer’s fourth team.  And Newick visit Willingdon Reserves.  Meanwhile, Nutley have a cup game at home to Polegate.

After their amazing five-four defeat at Worthing last week, Lewes will be hoping to get back to winning ways with a visit to Bishops Stortford in the third qualifying round of the FA Trophy.

In the Premier League, Brighton and Hove Albion face one of their most daunting tests of the season tomorrow, when they go to high-flying Liverpool.

Brighton’s ladies team face Arsenal in the semi-finals of the FA Cup, and Lewes ladies are away at Liverpool in the Championship – both those games are on Sunday afternoon.

Uckfield rugby club look to continue their unbeaten record tomorrow, as they visit second-from-bottom Hove’s second team.
