Weekend sporting preview

AFC Uckfield Town return to league action tomorrow with a visit to mid-table Eastbourne United.

In the Mid Sussex League, following their excellent victory over the league leaders last weekend, Uckfield United host bottom club Portslade Reserves.

Buxted are at home to West Hoathly, while Newick entertain AFC Ringmer Reserves, and Maresfield are away to Cuckfield Rangers Development.

Fletching have a cup match at home to Stones FC. Following their disappointing home defeat on Tuesday night, Lewes will be hoping to bounce back tomorrow when they visit lowly Wingate and Finchley in the Isthmian Premier Division.

In the Premier League, Brighton and Hove Albion will be looking to get back to winning ways tomorrow, as they welcome Leeds to the Amex Stadium for a 5.30 pm kick-off.

In women’s football, there are no games this weekend for Lewes or Brighton and after a fortnight’s break, Uckfield rugby club are back in action tomorrow, when they host local rivals Lewes.  Meanwhile, Newick have a home clash with Brighton and Sussex Medics.
