In the weekend’s local cricket, there was a good win for Uckfield Anderida!
The team who beat Bexhill’s third team by 41 runs. After being restricted to 120 for seven from their allotted 40 overs, Uckfield bowled out Bexhill for just 79 – Neil Boniface was the pick of the bowlers with four for 12. Also in the Sussex Cricket League, Buxted Park won at Lewes Priory by 51 runs.
Isfield lost at East Grinstead’s second eleven by six wickets, while Newick went down to a 17-run defeat at home to Little Common Ramblers.
Despite 134 from Ben Chapman, Fletching were beaten by four wickets at Haywards Heath’s second team.
There was a heavy defeat for Maresfield, who were beaten by 199 runs against Polegate and Stone Cross. Nutley lost at Robertsbridge’s second eleven by 108 runs. But, there was a convincing win for Blackboys, who beat Seaford’s third team by 169 runs.
The Sussex Sharks were again frustrated by the weather yesterday, as heavy rain caused their latest T20 Blast match against Surrey at Hove to be abandoned as a no result.
