Wealden District Council looking for A22 litter offenders

Wealden District Council are asking residents to help in the search for the culprit of a fly tipping incident on the A22.

They need to trace the owner of the vehicle that shed a significant amount of unused sheets of office paper on the northern section of the A22 Uckfield bypass yesterday afternoon 6 April.

The paper was spread along the road for several hundred metres between the Copwood and the Black Down roundabouts, causing a distraction and danger to other road users. If you have information or dash cam footage that may be able to help, please contact the Council on 01323 443322 or email street.scene@wealden.gov.uk.

Massive thanks to the Brighter Uckfield volunteer litter picking group who helped collect and bag the loose paper which has now been removed by the Council for disposal.
