Town Council asking us not to use Football Pitches yet

Before and After shot of football pitch

Uckfield Town Council’s Grounds Staff are asking people not to use the football pitches around the town yet.

This is because they are trying  to get them ready for when football is allowed to restart from 29 March.

Despite the lockdown, during the recent wet weather, the pitches have been seriously churned up and the grounds team have had to flatten and sow new grass seed. This has been the case at West Park, New Barn and Victoria Pitches.

Instead of the football pitches there are Mixed Use Games Areas available around the town including at Downland Copse, Ridgewood Recreation Ground and New Barn (next to the skate park).

The grounds team thank you for your help with this.
