An extra public meeting has been announced ahead of the closing date of a consultation about car parking charges on Ashdown Forest.

Over 1800 people have already responded to the consultation that is proposing the charges to be introduced in 2022 due to a funding shortage.

The additional pubic meeting will be held at the Uckfield Civic Centre at 7:30pm on the 29th November, ahead of the closing date of the consultation on December 6th.

This week is the Environment Agency South East’s Flood Action Campaign.

The Environment Agency have encouraged people to take action ahead of what the Met Office is planning to be a wet winter.

Locals are being encouraged to check their flood risk online and sign up for flood warnings.

Those who are at risk are being urged to be prepared, and to ‘Prepare. Act. Survive.’

Sussex have now administered over three million COVID-19 vaccinations.

The number includes first, second and booster vaccines that have been delivered across the county, following an increase in availability of booster appointments.

There have been over 40 vaccination sites across Sussex since the immunisation programme began on December 8th last year.

Those who are yet to have been vaccinated, or to have had their booster jab, are still being encouraged to do so.

And finally, the latest summary of COVID cases show that 125 people in Wealden tested positive yesterday, bringing the total to 882 in the last seven days.
