Kings Church announces phased re-opening to toddler groups

Kings Church Uckfield are pleased to announce that they are to reopen to toddler groups!

A spokesperson said  “We will be doing a phased reopening for logistical reasons – please bear with us”.

Under Ones will be the first to open on 13th May 2021 but that first session will be mornings for that week only. This just gives the space to iron out any issues in terms of logistics. The following week, Over Ones reopens and these groups go back to their normal session places, with Over Ones in the morning (10am) and Under Ones in the afternoon (1.30pm).

“We are planning for Twos group to restart after the May half term holidays on Friday 11th June (9.45am), due to current restrictions, places will be limited to 15 adults per group and the sessions will be a little shorter to reduce risk of infection transmission” we were told.

Places will need to be pre-booked (one place per adult) with a link will be provided through the Churches Facebook groups to begin with.

As places are limited they will run a wait list for each session and would ask you to make attending a priority once you’ve booked a ticket unless you/your little one is unwell. You can notify the church if you are unable to use your ticket so that we can allocate it to someone on the wait list. These sessions will, of course, be free of charge.

The Church told us “we will be complying with current guidance so masks will need to be worn by all adults, unless exempt, track and trace will be through the NHS app QR Code and all other usual Covid secure measures (adult social distancing/hand sanitising etc) will be in place”

To begin with the Group will not be serving refreshments although you will be very welcome to bring your own in a covered cup. As the room will be well ventilated, please dress accordingly.

The Church would like to thank you all for your patience and for sticking with us over this very trying year. “We are so looking forward to seeing you again in person, even if it is in a restricted way”.

As you may know, the Churches heart is to provide parents/carers and little ones served by our groups, a safe and welcoming place to meet, connect with others and find support in the challenging role of bringing up little ones. The current situation continues to make that a challenge but we are going to do the best we can. “We have been praying for you all”.
