Work has begun on the Methodist Church, in Framfield Road, Uckfield, to convert it to three flats.

Developers won an appeal in March after Wealden Council had refused the proposal.

Work to remove much of a diseased oak tree within Uckfield Cemetery has been agreed.

It’s been established that the tree is badly diseased and could be in danger of toppling, causing damage to the cemetery and nearby properties.

Councillors agreed that the tree be brought to a height of 3.5m and retained as a wildlife monolith.

“All Their Kings Fall” are a four piece rock band, and they’re releasing a Christmas single to raise money for Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital.

“It’s Christmas Time” will be available for download this week.
