Ridgewood FC, which has enjoyed outstanding success in recent years with a series of promotions, are gearing themselves up for their new campaign in the Championship of the Mid Sussex League.
Last weekend, Ridgewood began a full programme of pre-season friendlies with a four-all draw against fellow Championship side Crawley Devils.
The club have a new first team manager in Dean Rabson and are looking forward to a good season with the hope of one more promotion which would take them into the Mid Sussex League Premier Division. The reserves will continue to play in Division Three South again this season.
The new season is due to commence on 5th September, and provisionally Ridgewood’s first team and reserves will be playing their home games this year at Lewes Priory.
The club are still on the lookout for new players to join the team. Anyone interested is welcome to come along to training at Harlands Field on Tuesday evenings (7-9 pm), or they can contact Chaz Shires on 07584 624877.
