Nus Ghani encourages teachers throughout the constituency to sign up for a free training opportunity, hosted by the Parliamentary Education and Engagement Service, between the 22nd and 24th of June.
The training scheme is part of the ‘UK Parliament Teacher Ambassador Programme’ and is open to teachers working with children aged 5-18. Travel, accommodation, and meal costs will be covered and the experience will include Q&A sessions with MPs and Peers, talks from subject specialists, interactive workshops and tours of the Palace of Westminster.
Nus Ghani, who works very closely with schools in Uckfield, Hailsham, Crowborough, as well as in other parts of Wealden, strongly advocates engaging pupils in the work of the UK Parliament and the democratic processes of this country.
She urges all teachers who feel strongly about this cause to apply online for a place on the scheme.
The application form is available at https://learning.parliament.uk/session-workshop/teachers-institute/ and the deadline is Sunday 12th April.
