Charity auction cheques presented to local hospices

Cheques were presented on Thursday 20th August at a socially distanced ceremony held at Uckfield Civic the Civic Centre Uckfield by Uckfield Rotary Club and Sussex Mark Masons.

The money had been raised by a on-line auction during lock down.

The three charities to benefit were St Peter and St James Hospice, Hospice in the Weald, and St Wilfrid’s Hospice.

The presentation to each hospice was made by the President of Rotary Bruce Broughton-Tomkins and Roy & Helen Thompson who organised the event, and each received £1,200.

The Sussex Mark Masons cheques for £500 was made by Freemason Assistant Provincial Grand Master David Dumigan.
