AFC Uckfield Town were knocked off top spot in the Southern Combination League after losing 2-0 at Pagham.
The home side took the lead just before half-time and doubled their advantage with a penalty midway through the second half.
In the Mid Sussex League, Ridgewood picked up a good point from a goalless draw at Reigate Priory, whilst a last-minute equaliser gave Uckfield United a share of the points in a 2-2 draw at home to Scaynes Hill. Buxted won 3-1 at AFC Varndeanians Reserves and Nutley were 3-2 winners over AFC Acorns.
Newick drew 0-0 with FC Sporting. But there were defeats for Fletching, who lost 3-2 to Cuckfield Rangers Reserves and for Maresfield, who went down 5-0 at Ditchling Reserves.
Lewes had to settle for a point in a 1-1 draw at Potters Bar in the Isthmian Premier Division.
Lewes looked on course to take all three points after the home side were reduced to ten men in the sixth minute and then taking the lead two minutes later, before the visitors equalised with ten minutes left.
