Lockdown reminder – Lewes bonfire celebrations cancelled

People are being reminded there are no public bonfire celebrations in Lewes tonight

There will not be any public bonfire sites, processions or public firework displays in Lewes, all pubs and restaurants are closed

A multi-agency group, which includes emergency services and public health, met on Monday 2 November 2020.

There are no trains calling at Lewes, Glynde and Southease after 17.00 on 5 November 2020.

This decision was not taken lightly but reflects how important it is to protect the local communities from the threat of Covid-19.
