Lions Sleigh raises over £3000

Uckfield Lions are very pleased with this years “socially distant” Santa Sleigh, as we approach Christmas Day the charity raised over £3500, an amazing achievement in such challenging times.

The sleigh included reindeer with Masks and Lions carrying fishing nets, resulting in what was not a normal Santa’s Sleigh run, however the communities of Uckfield and the surrounding area came together to support the sleigh.

Graham Russell of the Lions and organiser of the Sleigh told us; “We are very lucky to live in such a community spirited town. Uckfield Lions wish to thank the residents of Uckfield, and the surrounding villages for giving our Santa Sleigh such a fantastic reception over the past few weeks. It was really good to see all the children so excited to see Santa. It was a little different this year but despite no door knocking, the sleigh has raised a fantastic amount for our charity account. Thank you again to all of you who supported us again this year.”

The Uckfield Lions want to wish all their supporters a Merry and Peaceful Christmas.
