Residents who struggle to keep their homes warm can get help and advice from East Sussex County Council.
The Warm home check service is free and provides telephone advice on keeping your home warm and reducing energy costs.
There’s also advice available around financial support for heating.
People on low incomes might also qualify for a COVID-secure home visit. This is also free and helps with minor improvements around insulation and boiler repairs.
The warm home check service is available throughout the year.
Also, households living in homes which are not energy efficient could benefit from a range of fully funded insulation or heating improvements, thanks to the government’s Green Homes Grant scheme.
