English Lockdown to end on December 2nd

The government will roll out the three-tier system of regional restrictions when the second lockdown in England ends on 2 December.

Gyms, Non-Essential shops and pubs can reopen subject to the tier restrictions; It is understood areas will find out Thursday 26th November what tier they are in, but new rules mean pubs operating under Tier 2 can only trade if customers have a “substantial meal”.

And in Tier 3, pubs must shut and can only sell goods for takeaway.

Boris Johnson has outlined the plans for England after this current lockdown ends on 2 December, involving a return to the three-tier regional system, but with stronger measures.

The prime minister said he was “very sorry for the unavoidable hardship to business owners who have already endured so much destruction this year” as he announced business closures in some tiers.
