Uckfield Sports Preview

After their outstanding win at high-flying Horley last weekend, AFC Uckfield Town face another stiff test tomorrow afternoon, when they travel to third-placed Newhaven in the Southern Combination League.

In local village football, Ridgewood host Buxted at the Maresfield Recreation Ground in a cup match.  In another cup game, Newick are away at Eastbourne Athletic.  Elsewhere, in the Mid Sussex League, Nutley go to Hurstpierpoint.

Lewes will be hoping to halt a run of five consecutive defeats tomorrow, as they travel to second-from-bottom Corinthian Casuals.

Meanwhile, there’s a crucial match tomorrow for Brighton and Hove Albion in the battle for Premier League survival.  The Seagulls are just two points above the relegation zone, as they visit struggling West Ham.

And, in rugby union, following the narrowest of wins last Saturday, Uckfield go in search of back-to-back wins tomorrow afternoon, when they entertain third-in-the-table Bromley at Hempstead Fields.
