The sign-up process for the Garden Waste Service from 1 July 2020 is now open.
You can sign up between now and the 8 June to ensure you receive the licence label for your bin for collections in July.
Wealden District Council said in a press release:
We are very grateful to our garden waste customers for their understanding and support during this difficult time we all face together. To ensure you are not disadvantaged in any way by the period the service was suspended, we will be extending the next Garden Waste Service year starting 1 July 2020 by an extra month, making it 13 months for the price of 12 months. The licence label you will receive may still say it is valid until 30 June 2021 but we will not be asking customers to pay for July 2021 collections and the following renewal will start from the 1 August 2021.
Our preference is for residents to sign up online using https://www.wealden.gov.uk/gardenwaste especially as our staff are very busy dealing with the Covid 19 emergency. If you cannot sign up online please phone 01323 443322 , although we may not be able to answer calls as quickly as normal. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept new customers for the current garden waste collection service year, which ends on 30 June 2020.
