The South of England Agricultural Society is delighted to announce that Spring Live! is returning in 2020 and will take place on Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd May.
A quintessentially English country fair with a difference, Spring Live! celebrates the arrival of spring and is a chance for everyone to get outside, try something new, and have fun at the iconic South of England Showground in Ardingly, West Sussex.
Sponsored by the Society’s official energy partner The Energy Check, the weekend event features something for every generation to enjoy, from traditional countryside activities including ‘have a go’ maypole dancing, the famous sheep show, a newly extended Segway course, inspirational gardening demonstrations and talks, the much loved Alpaca Show, a variety of independent and country-inspired shopping stalls including plants to buy, and a food hall jam-packed with mouth-watering artisan treats from local producers.
Younger visitors can enjoy farm animal meet and greets and get up close to creepy crawlies and reptiles. They can also take part in magical wand-making workshops using traditional wood-crafting skills, let loose at the funfair, test their driving skills on the mini monster truck courses, and much more.
There’s live entertainment on the main stage with talented performances from East Sussex College students for everyone to enjoy, and even flyball so the canine members of the family can get involved too.
Iain Nicol, CEO of the South of England Agricultural Society, said:
“This year’s Spring Live! is set to be bigger and better than ever so we’re very excited. We want to give people a chance to spend quality time together and experience just some of the fun that can be had in the great British outdoors. It’s a great excuse to get the kids off their screens and doing something different. And your dog can come along in and join in the fun too!
“As always, while the show will be all about fun and entertainment for the whole family, there’s a wider purpose to our events here in Ardingly. Every ticket sold helps the Society to continue our charity work in support of people with an interest or involvement in agriculture and other related land-based industries. From inspiring school children to learn about the land, to offering travel bursaries for people working in the farming sector or helping with funding towards agricultural research or showcasing the land and its industries to the general public – when you support Spring Live! you are helping support our work.”
Tickets for Spring Live! 2020 are available from www.seas.org.uk and cost £11.70 for adults, £9.90 for senior citizens/students (inclusive of online discount until 01.05.20). Under 16s go free with a paying adult.
