The Uckfield Anderida Cricket Club pitch at Victoria Pleasure Ground has been the venue for a different game over the last few days
Because of condition of the Green at Uckfield Bowls Club which cannot be played on, member Mel Sanders found a neutral venue for a “Roll Up ” and so he and friend Ian Scutt from Wealden Outdoor Bowls Club, found themselves playing on Anderida’s Cricket Pitch in Uckfield……. with a little help from a dog called Bailey.
Many Bowls clubs have already opened their doors and are confident that the easing of restrictions over the remainder of the 2020 season will provide a great opportunity for clubs to recruit and retain members. Let hope cricket clubs can do the same .
