Uckfield Lions, with the support of local pubs and Bishops the Butchers, have cancelled their annual Easter egg draw in most of their sites due to the Coronavirus lockdown.
It has been agreed by the club and landlords that the EGGS should be used to say a big THANK YOU to NHS and other key groups for all the hard work and sacrifices they are making.
Staff at Sussex County Hospital High Dependency Unit with their Easter Egg
Eggs have, so far, been distributed to the Sussex County Hospital, the Princes Royal Hospital, SE Ambulance Service at Polegate, Chailey Heritage and Copper Beech Nursing Home and Thornberry Care Home, Uckfield.
Lions would have expected to raise around £1000 from this raffle and monies raised would have been donated to St Wilfred’s Hospice, this donation will go ahead with money used from Lions general funds.
