Uckfield Rugby Club’s Founding Fathers organisation this week presented a cheque for £2000 to it’s Chairman’s charity for last year, Oscar’s Wish foundation.

Oscar Wish Foundation operates locally and offers comfort and support to parents, family, friends and siblings who have experienced the loss of a baby before, during or shortly after birth. https://www.oscarswishfoundation.co.uk/

Gemma explained that the funds raised could help local families in a number of ways. For example-

The £2,000.00 could-

• Pay for 4 bereaved couples to access specilist bereavement counselling together for a course of 6 sessions

or….

• Provide 66 Love-a-Bear Memory bears to be sent to children who have lost a sibling………. giving them something tactile to love and cuddle in memory of their little baby brother or sister.

URFC Founding Fathers is the charitable arm of the club and its obkjective is to give something back to the community by supporting local worthy causes.
