In tomorrow’s local football, in-form AFC Uckfield Town will be looking for their fourth successive win in the Southern Combination League, as they host bottom-of-the-table Eastbourne United.

Spectators should note that this game kicks off at the earlier time of two o’clock, because of a problem with one of the floodlights at the Oaks.

In local village football in the Mid Sussex League, Nutley are at home to Copthorne Reserves, whilst Ridgewood visit Hurstpierpoint.  Elsewhere, Maresfield entertain Hurstpierpoint Reserves, and Newick go to Fairfield.  And in a cup match, Fletching are away to Ridgewood Reserves.

In the Bostik Premier League, third-placed Lewes missed the chance to close the gap on the teams above them, when they were held to a goal-less draw at home to Margate on Wednesday night.  Tomorrow, Lewes travel to second-from-bottom Harlow.

Meanwhile, Brighton and Hove Albion are in FA Cup action tomorrow afternoon, when they welcome high-flying Championship side West Bromwich to the Amex Stadium in a fourth round tie.

In rugby union, Uckfield will be aiming to avenge their only defeat of the season by Burgess Hill, when the two teams face each other again tomorrow at Hempstead Fields.
