Town Council Photographic Calendar Competition 2020 – deadline extended

The deadline for the Uckfield 2020 Calendar competition has been EXTENDED until the 16th August!

The competition to find the 12 pictures to be featured in the calendar, showing “Uckfield at Work, Rest and Play’ runs from 1st January 2019 to 31st July 2019 – which means you have plenty of time to take and enter your photographs.

The competition is open to amateur photographers of all ages who live within the Town and a maximum of two entries per person.

The application form details all the competition rules, which for 2020 have been amended.

A panel comprised of the Town Mayor, Judith Stewart (a Sussex Photographic Federation Judge) and Ron Hill (Ron Hill Photographic) will select the winning entries. The judges will be looking for originality, creativity and strong composition, linked to the theme.

Prizes will only be awarded to first, second and third places with a One4all Post Office gift card, to the value of £50, £35 and £20 respectively. The remaining winning entries will receive a copy of the calendar in which their entry is printed, but will not receive a prize of monetary value. Each winning entrant will be restricted to one prize only.

Winning entries will be used in Uckfield Town Council’s 2020 Calendar and displayed in the Civic Centre. They may also be used on the Town Council’s website, in “The Voice” and other ad hoc publications.
