Chailey Heritage Foundation are delighted to announce they are partnering with a fellow Sussex charity for the 2019 Greater Brighton Cycle Challenge.

Taking place on Sunday 19th May, the event is organised by Brighton Housing Trust (BHT), which has teamed up with Cycle Support Services (CSS) and the Living Coast Partnership. Riders can take to their bikes to complete either 30 or 60-mile routes on rural Sussex roads. All three routes start at Preston Park in Brighton. Chailey Heritage Foundation’s café GK’s will also be the location for refreshment stop for the ‘Classic’ 60-mile route, as well as the finish line for the 30-mile ‘Ouse Valley’ route.

Those looking for something more family-friendly are also invited to participate in an ‘Around the World Cycle Challenge’ which takes place at the velodrome on the same day.

Andy Winter, Chief Executive of Brighton Housing Trust commented:

“The Cycle Challenge gets bigger each year and the addition of a ride to Chailey Heritage is fantastic. Chailey Heritage is a wonderful organisation with a world-wide reputation for education, care and excellence for young people with disabilities. We are honoured that Chailey Heritage Foundation has teamed up with BHT, the Living Coast and CSS this year.”

Sally-Anne Murray, Development Director at Chailey Heritage Foundation added:

“We are delighted to be involved with this event, cycling is an activity many of the young people we support participate in on a regular basis, developing their physical ability and enjoy the health benefits. We’d love to see as many of you as possible taking part and raising money for the wonderful charities involved.”

Entry costs as little as £20 for the 30-mile routes, with riders encouraged to raise what they can in sponsorship. More details about each course, as well as online registration, can be found at
