It’s another huge game tomorrow in AFC Uckfield Town’s history-making season, as they aim to reach the last 32 of the national FA Vase.

After their memorable victory in the previous round when finishing the game with seven men, Uckfield now host Sutton Common Rovers, who are riding high in second place in the Combined Counties League Premier Division.  Kick-off at the Oaks is at 3 pm, with Uckfield hoping for another big crowd to spur them on another step on the road to Wembley.

In local village football – weather permitting – Nutley are at home to Sovereign Saints in the Mid Sussex League, whilst Fletching host FC Sporting.  Buxted are away at Peacehaven and Telscombe Reserves.  Elsewhere, Ridgewood head to Crawley to take on AFC Acorns, and Maresfield visit Barcombe.   Meanwhile in a cup match, Newick entertain Burgess Hill Albion Reserves.

Following their FA Trophy exit in midweek, Lewes return to league action tomorrow, when they host Leatherhead in the Bostik Premier League.

And, after taking one point out of a possible nine, Brighton and Hove Albion will be looking to get back to winning ways tomorrow, as the Seagulls visit an improving Huddersfield.

In rugby union, there’s a potentially decisive match tomorrow for Uckfield, as the unbeaten league leaders visit their nearest rivals Crawley.

Elsewhere in local rugby, Newick are away at Barns Green.

Also this weekend, Wealden Bowls club are holding an Open Day tomorrow morning at the Maresfield Sports Park.

And on Sunday morning, it’s the annual Buxted Park Reindeer Run in aid of the Fire Fighters Charity.
