In local football tomorrow, AFC Uckfield Town will be looking to extend their four-match winning streak, as they welcome third-in-the-table Newhaven to the Oaks in the Southern Combination League.  Kick-off is at 3 pm.

Uckfield then visit Lingfield on Boxing Day morning, with an eleven o’clock kick-off, before they return to the Oaks on Saturday week to meet Little Common.

Only Buxted of our main local village teams are in action over the festive period – they are away at Willingdon tomorrow.

Lewes missed the chance to go back to the top of the Bostik Premier League, following a three-two defeat at Merstham on Wednesday night.  Lewes, who are without a game tomorrow, visit Bognor Regis on Boxing Day and then host Burgess Hill on New Year’s Day.

In the Premier League, Brighton and Hove Albion will be hoping to return to winning ways tomorrow, when they travel along the south coast to face Bournemouth.  The Seagulls then have back-to-back home games – firstly against Arsenal on Boxing Day, when kick-off at the Amex Stadium is at five fifteen, and against Everton on Saturday week.

And finally, there’s no fixture for Uckfield rugby club over the holiday period.  Their next game is on January 5th.
