The Uckfield Volunteer Centre is supporting World Kindness Day on Tuesday and encouraged the whole community in Uckfield to join-in.
During the day pupils from Rocks Park, Holy Cross and St Philips schools came into the Centre. The children are helping to make Helping Hands & Kind Hearts so that they can turn them into bunting.
The aim of World Kindness Day is to inspire everyone to carry out little acts of kindness and experience the big impact helping one another has on our society.
Some examples. Spend time with someone who might be lonely, Surprise a loved one with a kind note or letter, Buy a lottery ticket and give it to a stranger, Donate unwanted items to a local charity shop and Take in treats for your colleagues.
For World Kindness Day the Uckfield Volunteer Centre will be providing free refreshments. It is also a great opportunity to find-out how you can put your kindness into action by donating your time and skills to help one of the many charities and groups helping our community in Uckfield.
The Volunteer Centre is also displaying kindness quotes in their window. They have a tree of kindness and would love people to write on a leaf the kind things somebody has done for them.
