Sussex Association of Bonfire and Carnival Society’s held their annual carol service at Holy Cross Church, Uckfield, on Sunday, December 16th

It started at 2.30pm from Harcourt Road, parading to Holy Cross Church Uckfield for 3pm Carol Service.

The first bonfire event of the year always take place on the 1st Saturday in September with the Uckfield Carnival and the Carol Concert in the town’s church is the final event on their calendar for 2018.

The Sussex Bonfire Society’s were joined by Heathfield Silver Band and Uckfield Performance Ensemble and Father Christmas for this colourful parade and Christmas Carols.

In the packed Holy Cross Church dignitaries from across the area sat with the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Uckfield Cllr. Spike Mayhew and Cllr. Jackie Love and were treated to a performance by Father John who was really on form this Sunday by first , with the help of Uckfield Mayor and Deputy Mayor he blessed every thing in reach with water but pride of place must go to his fantastic portrayal of Galdalf (Lord of the Rings)

The Sussex Bonfire Society’s total collection this year was £65,000 …is that good or what.
