Holy Cross School is not in the danger of closing and moving in the foreseeable future.
Sean Hambrook, an East Sussex County Council officer told the members of the Uckfield Town Centre Regeneration Committee yesterday that Holy Cross was performing well.
He said that along with other schools in Uckfield, Holy Cross was regarded as ‘extremely good of late’.
He confirmed that the school would operate for the foreseeable future until the mid 2020’s at the earliest and that any children starting there in the next two years would complete their education there and that this would give comfort to parents who would select that school.
It was also confirmed that the diocese was investing in the school.
In April £70,000 was awarded to school by the Diocese of Chichester for improvements.
