Born in Woking in Surrey, Peter started out at Hospital Radio (Radio Wey in Weybridge), in the late 1970’s. He was also running a mobile disco and working in various nightclubs.

Whilst living in South Africa in 1980, he worked as a DJ on a Shopping Centre radio station, and another nightclub.

On returning to the UK in 1982, he commenced a career in IT, and due to these commitments gave up work as a DJ. Still working in IT, it was Christmas 2008 when a friend suggested a visit to Hospital Radio in Haywards Heath and after a 27 year break he presented a guest show. This rekindled an interest in radio and the opportunity to become involved in Uckfield FM seemed too good to miss…

Family: Married to Helen with sons Matt & Dan and ‘Cara’. We live in Newick so only a short hike to the studio in Uckfield.

First single you bought: Seasons in the Sun by Terry Jacks.

Favourite track right now: Varies greatly, but a big fan of Alicia Keys – Empire State Of Mind part 2.

Favourite Movie: Ghost – ever lasting images of Demi Moore!

Radio Influences: The early days of Capital Radio, compared to Radio 1 at the time, Capital seemed so much fun.

The Person you would most like as a guest: Keeley Hawes – I thought she was great in Spooks and has been terrific in Ashes to Ashes. I would like to know – is she really that nice?

Favourite holiday destination: Anywhere that’s good for Scuba Diving. I started diving a couple of years ago and love it as a holiday. It also has a good social side often referred to as ‘beer o’clock’ once the diving is finished for the day.

Favourite food: Spicy food, particularly Thai, or simple fish dishes (grilled and served with spinach or salad).

Favourite drink: Harveys bitter or anything ‘red’.
