AFC Uckfield Town: Factfile

AFC Uckfield Town is a professional football club that is based in Uckfield, East Sussex who currently
compete in the Southern Combination Premier Division. AFC Uckfield are a relatively new side
to join the English football system with them being founded just six years ago in 2014.

Since being founded, Uckfield have been playing their home game fixtures at the Oaks Ground on
Eastbourne Road, Uckfield. AFC Uckfield underwent a merger with Uckfield Town when they
formed in 2014, keeping the black and red colours of Uckfield Town for their home kit.

The first team is currently being managed by Anthony Storey, while Tom Parker sits as the clubs
chairman. At the time of the merger between AFC Uckfield and Uckfield Town, Uckfield Town featured in Division Three of the Sussex County League while AFC Uckfield were in Division Two. After the
merger, AFC Uckfield remained in Division Two. The first season as a new club was a
successful one for AFC Uckfield with them finishing up in second place, earning promotion into
the Premier Division of the new renamed Southern Combination League.

Uckfield have remained in the Premier Division Southern Combination League since gaining promotion in 2014/15 and during this spell have achieved their best finishing position of 7th in 2018/19.
Despite finishing down in 7th, AFC Uckfield ended the season with 89 goals scored making them the fourth-highest scoring side in the league.

AFC Uckfield also have their very own under-23’s squad as well as an under-18’s team.
Uckfield’s under-23’s are currently competing in the Southern Combination Leagues’ under 23
East Division. While the under-18’s also feature in the Southern Combination Leagues’ under
18’s East Division. AFC Uckfield’s Third, Fourth and Veteran teams feature down in the Mid- Sussex Football League.
