Tesco Uckfield make a  special delivery to the Children’s Respite Trust in Uckfield

Tesco Uckfield community champion Robert Muggeridge and store manager Jon Briley made a very special delivery to the Children’s Respite Trust in Uckfield.

The cuddly Andrex puppy William which had been delighting customers in store before Christmas was donated to its new home after several months of suggestions and debate.

Robert Muggeridge said “We wanted to make sure both customers and colleagues had a say in where William ended up, I’m sure he will be very happy in his new home and the kids seem delighted to have a new friend to play with.”

The Children’s Respite Trust provides respite for disabled children and support for their families throughout the year across Sussex and Kent, the Uckfield location is relatively new having only opened in the last few years and are currently trying to raise money to fund essential renovations including a new lift for disabled access.
