Online quiz to raise cash for the kitty for Sussex’s National Cat Centre

Trivia-lovers can take part in an online quiz evening to raise money for Cats Protection’s National Cat Adoption Centre in Chelwood Gate.

The Sussex centre will be hosting the evening on Friday 28 August on its Facebook page, with the fun kicking off at 6.45pm.

All funds raised will help cats and kittens being cared for at the centre, in Lewes Road, Chelwood Gate.

Cats Protection’s National Cat Adoption Centre Deputy Manager Tania Marsh said: “Whether you’re a cat-lover or a quiz fan – or both – we can promise a fun-packed evening from the comfort of your own home.

“With the current restrictions on events, it’s harder than ever for charities like ours to raise funds, so we’ve been hard at work thinking up alternative fundraisers like this online quiz. All the money raised will help us continue our vital work for cats and kittens in need in Sussex, so we hope lots of people will join us on the night.”

To sign up a team, please email reception at: cattery.reception@cats.org.uk – Tickets are £10 per team and payment can be made by visiting the JustGiving page at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/national-cat-adoption-centre-cats-protection

Funds raised during the evening will help cats like 13-year-old Barry, a black-and-white puss being cared for at the centre who needs a quiet and calm home.

During the coronavirus pandemic, Cats Protection remains #HereForTheCats and is taking extra precautions to keep cats, volunteers, staff and the public safe. While the National Cat Adoption Centre is closed to the public, cats are being rehomed using a hands-free homing initiative.
