New Ladybird class for Fletching School

Fletching School when the campaign to keep it open was going on.

Fletching Primary School was under threat of closure last year but now has some great news!

Richard Hannay, a school governor told Uckfield FM:

“We are delighted to inform you that, due to a high demand for places in Reception for September 2020, we will be creating a new ‘Ladybird’ class. This class will be for our new Reception children and will be taught by a new teacher joining the school alongside our current experienced Reception practitioner, who will be the Teaching Assistant working with them. The Ladybird children will be taught together in the mornings and will then join with Caterpillar class in the afternoons. It brings us all such pleasure to be able to welcome so many new pupils to our Fletching family. We believe this will give them the best of both worlds! Two lovely, small class groups in the mornings with a high level of adult support, and then the joy of all working together in the afternoons – making new friends, learning from others and being part of a larger community.”
