There was more outstanding success for the Sky High Trampoline and Gymnastic Academy in the Southern Zonal qualification round in the British Schools Gymnastic Association competition, which was held in Gillingham recently, attracting over 350 gymnasts from all over the south.
Eight gymnasts from the Sky High club represented their schools, with the top three from each age group going through to the National Schools Finals, which will be held in Eastleigh on March 14th. Six Sky High gymnasts qualified, including four gymnasts who came in first place – Harper Winslet, Daniel Bradford, Milla Winslet and Nick Orwin.
Sam Plummer and Charlotte Wainford qualified in second and third place respectively.
Gail Andrews, Head Coach, said, “This is a great opportunity for our gymnasts to give something back to their schools. The gymnasts frequently require the schools’ support when competing in events throughout the season as often time off is required to attend national and international competitions or for extra training sessions during the day. So to be able to win a medal for the school is very rewarding”.
Well done again to all our young trampoline gymnasts from the Sky High Club, who train at the Funabounds Trampoline Centre in Uckfield.
