Concern over new homes planned in East Hoathly

Residents in East Hoathly have voiced their concerns amid plans to build 205 new homes in the village.

Kazakh oligarch Nurlan Bizakov plans to build a new housing estate, increasing the population of the village by over 50%.

Despite over 1000 objections to the planning application, Wealden District Council gave approval in July.

Mr Bizakov purchased Hesmonds Stud farm, at a size of 400 acres and now plans to build the estate on the land.

Concerned residents formed an action group to challenge the proposal, more details can be found at www.villageconcerns.co.uk.
