Social media comes to the rescue after anniversary gifts left on train.

Facebook came to the rescue after Ben Bishop accidentally left his wife’s anniversary gifts on the London Bridge to Uckfield train.

Ben took to social media and said:

‘Hi all, I left my wifes Anniversary chocs and flowers and her card on the train tonight.
I got off at Eridge and drove to Crowborough, I waited for the train to come back up and was told by the conductor that a lady had taken them off the train at Uckfield and said she would hand them in and post online to say where she had left them’

‘If anyone can help I would be very grateful, they were not the run of the mill chocs or flowers cost me a pretty penny. 10 year Anniversary!!!’

Later, Emily Shaw took to the Crowborough Community Facebook group, and said:

‘This is a long shot, but if anyone left something quite special on the train at Eridge this evening please message me. It was the train from London Bridge to Uckfield that stopped at Eridge at around 5:30. You were gone before I had the chance to stop you’

Later in the evening with the assistance of other members they were put in touch.

Ben commented:

‘Yes, all good thank you all. Faith in humanity restored’

Emily added:

‘Thanks all,  I have messaged Ben and hopefully will reunite him with his stuff’
