All aboard the Macmillan Coffee Train

Bluebell Railway is inviting cake lovers to take part in its Macmillan Coffee Train event this month.

The event, which will raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, forms part of the World’s Biggest Coffee morning on Friday September 27.

Passengers wishing to travel on the special train service need to book seats in advance and pay a voluntary donation of £10 on the day. All monies raised will be donated in full to Macmillan Cancer Support.

Ruth Rowatt, the Event Organiser, commented: “Bluebell Railway is delighted to take part in Macmillan’s fundraising event for the third year running. Last year we raised £1,658.32 for the charity, and we hope to double this figure with the help of train, cake, and coffee fans across Sussex.

“There are so many ways to get involved – whether you’re a passenger on the service, donating a cake, or purchasing cakes on the day. We are extremely excited and look forward to seeing the community come together once again for this worthwhile cause.”

If you are interested in booking a seat on the 11:25am service, please contact the office at Sheffield Park on 01825 720800.

Sheffield Park Station will also be open as usual, with plenty of cakes available to buy throughout the day.
