In the weekend’s local football, AFC Uckfield Town got back to winning ways with an excellent four-two victory at Pagham.
Uckfield took a first-half lead through Matt MacLean, and Bailo Camara then doubled their advantage early in the second half. However, the hosts fought back to level the match at two-all, before MacLean’s second of the afternoon restored Uckfield’s lead. Dee Okojie sealed the three points with a fourth goal for Uckfield in stoppage time.
In the Mid Sussex League, Fletching were five-three winners at FC Sporting. Buxted drew two-apiece with Burgess Hill Albion, and Nutley shared the points in a three-all draw with Sovereign Saints.
Elsewhere, Maresfield lost five-four at Fairfield. And there was defeat too for Newick, who were beaten four-nil at Burgess Hill Albion Reserves.
Lewes kept alive their promotion play-off hopes with a three-nil home win over Kingstonian in the Bostik Premier League.
Finally, in local rugby, champions Uckfield rounded off their successful league campaign in style with a 26 points to five victory at Burgess Hill.
