Uckers defeated by strong Eastbourne United team

Ellis Cormack's goal for Uckfield was the last kick of the game

AFC Uckfield Town were defeated this evening 1 – 2 by Eastbourne United.

The first goal of the evening was a powerful strike from Paul Rogers outside the area to go past Phil Hawkins in the Uckfield goal.  Score 0-1.

At 38 minutes a trademark storm by Bailo Camara wins a corner but Taylor Maddock’s header whistles just over.

One of the United players saw red at 38 minutes with some controversy after a scything tackle on Mayckol Sabino.

The score remained 0 -1 at half time.

The second half started very strong from the Uckers team as they pushed for a equaliser with Camara causing chaos in the United box.  Ellis Cormack and Liam Baitup both testing the keeper.

Against the run of play United doubled the lead 0-2.

There was a scrappy end to the game and with the last kick of the match, Ellis Cormack scored a goal at 99+5 minutes.

Final score 1-2.
