Ridgewood are beaten by league leaders Sidley

Despite the heavy rain over the last few days and many games abandoned to the rain Ridgewood FC received the go ahead for both the first and second teams games.

Ridgewood FC first team lost their unbeaten record this afternoon to league leaders Sidley FC at Maresfield Football with a 3-0 defeat.

Sean Baldock scored a brace and the third goal for Sidley was scored by Danny Ellis.

The win means Sidley United FC remain top of the Mid Sussex League Championship.

The Ridgewood reserves team played Wisdon Sports on the 3G pitch in Uckfield and came out 6-2 winners which included a hat trick by Jack Backley.
