After a one-nil defeat at Little Common on Easter Saturday, AFC Uckfield Town got back to winning ways yesterday with a four-one victory over Lingfield at the Oaks in their penultimate match of the season in the Southern Combination League.

In local village football yesterday, Buxted drew four-all at Willingdon, whilst Nutley drew three-apiece at Polegate.

Following a three-one home defeat by Bishops Stortford on Saturday, and a one-all draw yesterday at Burgess Hill, Lewes’s faint hopes of reaching the play-offs in the Bostik Premier League came to an end.

And, after picking up what could be a precious point from a goal-less draw at Wolves on Saturday, Brighton and Hove Albion continue their bid for Premier League survival this evening when they visit Tottenham.

On Thursday evening AFC Uckfield Town U23’s will play East Preston U23’s in the FINAL of the Under 23 Challenge Cup at Middle Road, Shoreham
