Loxfield Lodge has made a donation of £1000 to the father of Sacha Sutherland-Lucas.
He is pictured here in his father’s arms, to assist with payment for specialist treatment for the SQ37 – chromosome deficiency condition, from which Sacha – 18 months old, is suffering.
The specialist treatment is not currently available from the NHS and has involved Sacha being treated in both London and Los Angeles.
The accompanying photograph shows the cheque being presented by W Bro Peter Siggs (WM) to Sacha’s father Robert Sutherland –Lucas from Brighton and with John Lucas, who is resident in Newick, and is Sacha’s grandfather on the left of Robert and others pictured being members of Loxfield Lodge.
The charity ‘Just 4 Children’ has been helping Sacha’s family with advice and help and the cost of the specialist treatment in London and Los Angeles and Sacha’s next course of treatment in LA is scheduled for later this year.
Each course of treatment cost around £23,000 and Sacha’s parents and friends have been very busy fundraising to meet these costs and, very creditably, have raised some £18,000 so far.
