Uckfield FM Sports Preview

After their excellent cup win at Pagham in midweek, which extended their winning streak to six matches, AFC Uckfield Town are scheduled to return to league action tomorrow with a home clash against Crawley Down Gatwick in the Southern Combination Premier Division. Kick-off at the Oaks is at 3 pm.

Minor league football looks likely to be disrupted again by the weather this weekend. Fletching’s game has already been called off. Meanwhile, in scheduled fixtures in the Mid Sussex League, Buxted are at home to Lindfield, whilst Ridgewood visit Ardingly.

Elsewhere in cup matches, Nutley host Copthorne, and Newick are away at Balcombe’s third team.

In the Bostik Premier League, Lewes will be hoping to get back to winning ways with a visit to Corinthian Casuals.

And, after their FA Cup victory at West Bromwich on Wednesday night, Brighton and Hove Albion will be looking to end a run of five Premier League games without a win, as they welcome Burnley to the Amex Stadium. This match kicks off at the later time of 5.30 pm.

Finally, in rugby union, there’s another key match for Uckfield tomorrow afternoon, when they host fellow promotion chasers Crawley at Hempstead Fields.
