Uckfield FM are finalists in prestigious Sussex Life Awards

Uckfield FM is proud to announce that it’s been told it’s a finalist in the Celebration of Sussex Life Awards organised by Sussex Life Magazine.

The community radio station which has served Uckfield and the surrounding villages full time since 2010 has made it to the final of the Services to the Community Award.

The awards are nominated by readers of Sussex Life Magazine. The awards ceremony will be taking place at The Grand Hotel in Brighton on Thursday 24th October.

Ian Smith, Chairman of Uckfield FM said “Uckfield FM is delighted to have reached the finals of the Awards. The station has been on air since 2003, and expanded its broadcasts to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, in 2010. Many of our listeners value the station as a constant friend, keeping them in touch with all that is happening in their town and the surrounding villages. The station provides up-to-the-minute travel news and an opportunity for local community organisations to promote their activities. The Award would be a fantastic achievement and reward for our volunteer presenters”.

Uckfield FM is one of just two local businesses from the area who have made it to the final with Hurstwood Cider in High Hurstwood a finalist in the Food or Drink product of the year category.
